Notion is a fantastic tool that can organize and streamline both your business operations and your personal or family life. Below, you can find some re-usable templates I’ve created for myself and others. And if you’re interested in custom templates, I offer consulting sessions, where I can help get you setup with customized tools and frameworks within Notion, so you can run your life better.
The Daily Todo Template is based on a Notion page I used to open every day, multiple times a day. I put everything from personal tasks to business tasks here. It’s a well organized checklist system that replaced and surpassed every other todo list tool I’ve ever used.
The Weekly Planner Template is an alternative to the Daily Todo Template, providing a single page for each week, with checklist sections for each day of the week. After creating this for a client, I eventually switch to using this template full time. If you prefer having a simple one page overview of your todo list for each week, then checkout the Weekly Planner Template.
There are some tasks that only need to be done once each month, but they do need to be done every month. One great example is updating your budget. The Monthly Tasks Template is a simple checklist system for tracking these tasks. Use it conjunction with the Daily Todo Template .
Having learned about and used OKRs at my previous company, I decided to apply these to my personal life. The Personal OKRs Template is a yearly goal tracker for all aspects of my life: personal, family, and business. I update mine once a month, as part of my Monthly Tasks Template.
When I have a significant feature for a product or service, I create a new item in my Business Planning Template. Individual task pages within the database are great for higher level tracking of features that require many steps to be completed. Checklists and notes go into the each task page, while the planning database keeps track of overall status. For example, creating this page that you are currently reading was a checklist item within a task page, inside my own “Streamhacker TODO” database. I often pull specific items from task pages into my Daily Todo Template. Try using the Business Planning Template for your business or website.
